Short answer: FRESHTURF does one-off lawn tidies at either end of a move anywhere in South Auckland — the place you're leaving, the place you're arriving at, or both.

No ongoing commitment, we work to your settlement or handover date, and nobody needs to be at the property.

Before you move out

Moving is the one time the mower is guaranteed to be inaccessible exactly when you need it — in a trailer, at the back of a container, or already sold. Meanwhile the lawn keeps growing and the section wants to look decent for whoever's coming.

If you're selling, this is also the last impression the buyer gets before settlement. A section that's been let go in the final fortnight is a poor note to hand over on, and occasionally the thing that prompts an awkward pre-settlement inspection conversation.

Before you move in

The more common call, honestly. You get the keys and discover the previous owner or tenant stopped caring about the outside some weeks ago. You've got a house full of boxes, no mower unpacked, and a section that needs an hour of machinery you don't have to hand.

Getting it cut before or on the day you arrive means the new place starts feeling like yours immediately, and it's one job off a list that's already too long. If it's badly gone, that's overgrown recovery rather than a mow.

Settlement and handover

If you're handing a property over on a specific date — settlement, or the end of a lease — tell us that date and we'll work back from it. Those don't move, so we treat them the way we treat photography deadlines.

We can work with the property completely empty. Access and any gate details are all we need, and we'll send a photo when it's done if you're already in another city.

Common questions

Can you do it on settlement day?

Usually, if we know in advance. The day before is safer — settlement days have a habit of running late and access can be uncertain until keys change hands.

I've already moved to another city. Can I book remotely?

Yes, and it's common. We deal with you by phone and email, work with whatever access arrangement exists, and send photos when it's done.

The previous owner left a pile of garden rubbish.

We'll take it. That's rubbish removal, quoted separately because of dump fees, and confirmed with you before we load anything.

Can you keep mowing at the new place?

If you want. Plenty of people start with a one-off catch-up and then decide. No pressure either way — see regular lawn care.

I'm renting, not buying.

Same job. If it's the end of a tenancy there's more detail on end-of-tenancy tidies, including getting photos for your bond.
