We aim to reply to enquiries the same day, and usually do. Whether we can hit a tight deadline depends on where you are and what's already booked that week, and we'll tell you straight away rather than leaving you hoping.
What counts as urgent
Almost always a date, not a preference. The common ones:
- Real estate photography booked for a specific morning
- An open home or auction this weekend
- A rental inspection you've just been given notice of
- A final inspection at the end of a tenancy
- Family or visitors arriving in a few days
- An event at the house you've run out of time for
- Settlement or handover day
- A contractor who didn't turn up and left you short
How to get the quickest answer
Ring, or text if it's after hours. Include these four things and we can usually answer in one message rather than three:
- The address, or at least the suburb
- The deadline — the actual date and time something is happening
- A photo of the lawn, which tells us more about the work than any description
- What has to be done — just the lawns, or edges, driveway and green waste as well
What we won't do is say yes and then not turn up. If your deadline isn't realistic for us, you'll hear that immediately, while you still have time to ring someone else. That's more useful to you than optimism.
Things that make a tight job possible
Flexibility on time of day helps enormously — early morning and late afternoon slots are far easier to find than the middle of a booked day. Access matters too: if we don't need anyone home and the gate is unlocked or the code is known, we can slot you in around other work in your suburb.
If you're already near one of our regular runs — Papakura, Manurewa, Takanini, Papatoetoe — the odds are much better than at the edge of the area.

Common questions
Do you charge extra for urgent jobs?
No. Same pricing as any other job of that size. What a deadline changes is whether we can fit you in, not the rate.
Can you come today?
Sometimes, if you're near where we already are and you're flexible on time. Ring rather than emailing — same-day is a phone conversation, not a form.
What if it rains on the day?
Light rain doesn't stop a mow, so most deadlines survive. If it's genuinely too wet to do a decent job we'll tell you early and work out the best remaining option with you rather than turning up and making a mess of it.
The lawn is badly overgrown and I need it done in two days.
Still say so. Overgrown recovery takes longer and produces a lot of waste, so it needs a bigger slot — but knowing the real state up front is what lets us book the right amount of time instead of arriving under-equipped.
Do you work weekends?
Saturdays yes, 8am to 4pm. Sundays no. A Friday or Saturday before an open home is the most requested slot there is, so the earlier you ask the better your chances.
